Canadian Tire Jumpstart (formally known as Canadian Tire Foundation for Families):
Founded in 2005, Canadian Tire Jumpstart improves the lives of youth through sport and physical activity. Youth aged four to 18 who need financial support can apply for a grant Canadian Tire Jumpstart also offers grants to community groups. The charity also focuses on helping girls and youth with disabilities become more involved with sport.
Canadian Tire Jumpstart has built seven accessible playgrounds across Canada. Also, the Inclusive Play Program has created over 190,000 square feet of accessible play space and over 24,000 accessible programs for kids.
Jumpstart reports that physical activity can improve mental health, build social skills, and improve academic performance.
